Progress is being made, but there is a long way to go. Until there is equal recognition for all, those in the LGBT community need to create for themselves, what others take for granted.
A study recently released by the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, revealed that LGBT adults are less comfortable sharing intimate financial details with professional advisors than those in the straight community.
The result: many members of the LGBT community don't have competent financial professionals to help them reach the goal of financial independence.
