Why did you want to work at Skylight?

The opportunities available are endless.  It is a great atmosphere.  I've always wanted to help people, and I originally wanted to become a crime scene investigator, but changed my major to economics.  This is a career where I can help people, make a living, and make a difference, and that means the world to me.

Tell us something you are really good at?

I am very good at talking to people, even if I don't know them at all.  I can have a conversation with just about anyone as long as they're willing.

      A fun fact about you:

I remember and retain miscellaneous information and facts.  I.E. movie quotes, actors/actresses that are in specific movies, strong attention to detail to notice little hidden plot points, statistics from the high school sports that I played, etc.

Your favourite place to hang out in Cleveland or Columbus:

      Fourth Street Bar & Grill

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I love to fish.  I could go fishing every day (Summer, Fall, Winter, or Spring) and not get tired of it.

What’s the most adventurous thing you’ve ever done?

My senior year, my closest friends and I went on senior trip to the Dominican Republic, it was the first time I had ever been out of the USA, and it was without my parents.  At the time, I felt like a rebel.

Who would you most like to meet – alive or dead?

Albert Einstein, Edgar Allan Poe, or Abraham Lincoln

Where do you want to be 10 years from now?

At a stable, successful, growing career with my own office in my hometown, with a family or at the least starting a family, and owning my own home and piece of land.

Why did you want to work at Skylight?

After interning at Skylight over the summer, I realized how much value a financial planner can provide someone at every phase of their life.  I enjoyed interacting with individuals on a regular basis in order to satisfy their current needs as well as achieve their long term goals.  Outside of working with clients and potential clients, Skylight as a company provides new planners with proper training and veteran advice.

Tell us something you are really good at?

I am phenominal at eating Chipotle.  For those of you who that know me personally, you know I eat Chipotle multiple times per week.  I ate it so often that I won free catering from the Chipotle rewards program they had over the summer.

        A fun fact about you:

A fun fact about me is that I have watched The Office in its entirety more than three times.

Your favorite place to hang out in Cleveland or Columbus:

The Short North is a happening place that I enjoy but the neighborhood that I moved into, Olde Towne East, is a growing area in Columbus that I really enjoy.  As far as a specific place, Franklin Park Conservatory is a beautiful space that I am looking forward to going to when the weather gets warmer.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

In my spare time, my two main activities include watching basketball and lifting weights.  I used to play basketball (I played a year in college and Muskingum University) and although I do not play that often anymore, I love watching the game.  My passion for lifting weights came after I stopped playing basketball and needed a physical activity that would occupy my time and allow me to have something to work towards on a daily basis.

What’s the most adventurous thing you’ve ever done?

The most adventurous thing I have ever done was take a clear, glass elevator up 90 floors to the top of a hotel bar in Atlanta.  I was terrified and absolutely took a separate, normal, enclosed elevator on the way down.

Who would you most like to meet – alive or dead?

Picking one single person for this is so difficult.  My top five that come to mind are LeBron James, Denzel Washington, Barack Obama, John F. Kennedy and Vincent Van Gogh.

Where do you want to be 10 years from now?

Ten years from now, I want to be able to substitute a nice restaurant in for one of my multiple trips to Chipotle per week.  I also hope I can attend a basketball game where LeBron James and his son are playing in the same game.
