Come and donate blood at Skylight-sponsored American Red Cross Blood Drive!

7/31/2014

With schools out and families on vacation, the need for blood donations is even greater over the summer – this is the compelling message behind the American Red Cross “100 days of summer, 100 days of hope” blood drive campaign which is running throughout the country.

Skylight Financial Group is delighted to host a blood drive on Wednesday, August 20 to be held on the 10th floor of the Skylight Financial Group building (formerly known as the United Bank Building) from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.

“It’s often difficult for the Red Cross to collect sufficient blood during the summer months.  Yet still every 2 seconds someone in the US needs blood and every day the American Red Cross needs 15,000 donations to meet the needs of patients at approximately 2,700 hospital and transfusion centers across the country. Skylight is delighted to be involved in this drive and help respond to this urgent need”, said Dan Brennan, chief marketing officer at Skylight Financial Group.

Details on registering and scheduling an appointment can be found in the flyer.  Be sure to enter the sponsor code: unitedbankbldg. Also attached is a leaflet providing useful tips on how to prepare for giving blood.
