Heroes “Behind the Mask” to be revealed
The American Red Cross Central-South East Ohio Region will pay tribute to Central Ohio’s heroes at its premiere fundraiser “Behind the Mask” which will take place on November 15 at the Ohio Statehouse in Columbus. Ryan Flynn, Financial Planner at Skylight's Columbus office, is delighted to have joined the Fundraising and Sponsorship Committee earlier this year and is playing his part to support the gala and fundraising efforts. This first annual black-tie gala will celebrate the courage and selflessness of those who support critical community services such as the firefighters, EMS, police and military personnel whose extraordinary contributions make our neighborhoods great places to live.
Ryan said “Ever since being in the Military and seeing how the Red Cross operates during a conflict I have had a great appreciation for this non-profit organization. The “Behind the Mask” fundraiser is a great event to honor those who serve our communities and make a difference in the lives of others.”
The American Red Cross shelters, feeds and provides emotional support to victims of disasters; supplies about 40 percent of the nation's blood; teaches skills that save lives; provides international humanitarian aid; and supports military members and their families. Last year the Central-Southeast Ohio region achievement’s include responding to more than 700 local disasters, training nearly 43,000 area residents in First Aid, CPR and other life-saving courses and providing more than 15,000 trips for seniors and people with specials needs to medical and other appointments.
The gala will feature a formal seated dinner and live and silent auction. Click here for further information and to purchase tickets.
