Mark Owens honored with 2016 Distinguished Sales and Marketing Award (DMSA)
Mark Owens, director of marketing for Skylight Financial Group, has been awarded the Distinguished Sales and Marketing Award (DMSA) at the DMSA Awards Banquet on February 25 at the Cleveland Public Auditorium. The award is the profession’s premier honor to acknowledge excellence and provide community recognition for outstanding sales and marketing achievements. Areas evaluated were exemplary leadership and management, innovative strategies and tactics, extraordinary sales results, and strong community and professional involvement.
On receiving the award, Mark, who is responsible for Skylight’s branding awareness and community involvement in both the northern Ohio and Columbus regions, said, “I am honored to be among the recipients of this year’s DMSA award and thrilled to be joining a group of illustrious DMSA alumni. I’m fortunate to be surrounded by a great team at Skylight who are quick to embrace new opportunities and innovative marketing strategies. This makes my job much easier and I can’t thank them enough for their support.”

Since joining Skylight in 2013, Mark has brought real energy, drive and passion to Skylight. In particular, under his leadership, our online presence has increased significantly so much so that his methods have become the standard for allied firms across the country. He also contributes so much to the local business and networking community, chairing the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission associate board and serving on the Ohio City Inc. board of trustees, the Cuyahoga Community College Business advisory committee and the local executive committee of the Cleveland Irish Network, of which he is a founding member.”
The DMSA awards are given annually by Sales and Marketing Executives of Cleveland (SME).
