Meet Skylight Intern Brad Weemhoff

Why did you want to intern at Skylight?

Financial planning is one of my top career choices and the intern experience at Skylight will give me great insight in to what that will be like if I follow that career path.  Additionally, the internship program will also give me a head start in the financial planning world following graduation.  Lastly, after speaking with Skylight at career fair, the culture seemed like a great fit for me.

Tell us something you are really good at?

Something I am really good at is meeting people and networking. 

A fun fact about you:

Last spring break I road tripped to Austin, Texas with 3 of my good friends.  

Your favourite place to hang out in Cleveland or Columbus:

My favorite place to hang out in Cleveland is Barrio. 

What do you like to do in your spare time?

In my spare time I enjoy playing basketball, golfing, and hanging out with friends and family.

What’s the most adventurous thing you’ve ever done?

The most adventurous thing I’ve ever done was a whitewater-rafting trip on the Shotover River in New Zealand..

Who would you most like to meet – alive or dead?

I would most like to meet LeBron James. I am a huge basketball and Cavs fan; it would be amazing to meet the best basketball player I’ve ever witnessed and one of the most influential figures in sport. 

Where do you want to be 10 years from now?

10 years from now I hope to be practicing financial planning in either Cleveland or Chicago.
