Meet Skylight's New Associate Matthew Youngpeter

Matthew Youngpeter

College: The Ohio State University

From: Spencerville, Ohio

Why did you want to work at Skylight?

I wanted to work at Skylight because the moment I walked in I was immersed in the family-style culture Skylight has to offer.  Also, I knew I wanted to have a positive impact on peoples’ financial futures by helping them find solutions to their financial problems.

Tell us something you are really good at?

I would consider myself a grill master.  I enjoy cooking on the grill.

A fun fact about you:

I enjoy traveling and scuba diving.

Your favorite place to hang out in Cleveland or Columbus:

I enjoy hanging out at Hounddog’s Pizza and eating any of their pizza with “Smokin’ Joe’s Crust.”  It is delicious.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Attend Ohio State athletic events.

What’s the most adventurous thing you’ve ever done?

I traveled to Mexico and visited several of the Mayan ruins such as:  Xel Ha, Chichen Itza, and Cobà.

Who would you most like to meet – alive or dead?

I wish I could have met Steve Jobs.  Listening to him talk about the cultural and product innovations he brought to Apple would be amazing.

Where do you want to be 10 years from now?

I would like to have started a family and established a successful financial planning practice at Skylight.
