Meet Skylight's New Partner Rebecca Murphy
What does it mean to you to become a partner at the firm?
To me, becoming a partner signifies recognition of a successful MassMutual career beginning in 2001.
How do you feel your appointment can be helpful to your practice as well as Skylight Financial Group as a whole?
For both my newly divorced clients as well as my long time financial planning clients, I feel as if I can empower individuals to transition into their future financial lifetimes with information and understanding.
What made you want to work in this field?
My desire to assist clients in holistically planning all aspects of their financial futures.
What advice would you offer others looking to advance their financial services career?
Listen, listen, listen.
Let’s assume you never entered the workplace of the financial world, what was that one job you thought you wanted?
Never occurred to me that I wouldn’t sell insurance and investments.
Tell us something about you that people will not find in your ‘official’ bio that shows a side unknown to us and the people you might know.
For a year in college, I spent every weekend sleeping on a dirt floor at a chicken farm in Colombia.
