Skylight proudly sponsors the Gay Games 2014

Skylight Financial Group’s LGBT Resource Team is proud to sponsor what has become the most inclusive sporting and cultural event in the world - the Gay Games 2014, taking place this summer in Cleveland and Akron.

The Games, held every 4 years since 1982, expect to bring in an estimated 10,000 participants, as well as an additional 30,000 guests, performers, spectators and volunteers from more than 60 countries.   This one week event includes 35 sporting events, and will offer cultural events such as concerts, theme parties and exhibitions as well as Festival Villages in Cleveland and Akron where athletes, community members, families and other visitors can enjoy time together.  The Games, founded on the principles of Participation, Inclusion and Personal Best™, are open to any person, ages 18 or older, regardless of sexual orientation or skill level.

Paul Fox, President and CEO, Skylight Financial Group said, “As a firm that is committed to diversity and inclusion and supporting our LGBT community, we are delighted to be part of GG9 and help bring an amazing Games to our hometown.”

“The Games are as much about camaraderie and the community as they are about the athletes and competition.  It’s inspiring to see the LGBT community and its allies coming together to celebrate inclusion on such a large scale right here in Cleveland” adds Dan Brennan, Chief Marketing Officer, Skylight Financial Group.

This exciting week of sports, music, parties and much more will take place from August 9th to 16th and will be held in various venues across Cleveland and Akron including local colleges, the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo and Dave & Busters.
