Skylight share best practice at BEI 2015 Exit Planning Conference
Keven Prather of Skylight’s Business Private Client Group and Mark Dorman, Skylight Associate, were honored to be invited speakers at this year’s BEI Exit Planning Conference which recently took place in Denver, Colorado. During the session entitled Recipes for Success – Best Practices for BEI Advisors, both Prather and Dorman shared the secrets to their success by discussing the dramatic results they have seen in their practice through effectively marketing and differentiating themselves. The session produced a lively and open discussion around what has worked and not worked, with many advisors admitting that marketing their practice is often the weakest side of what they do. Feedback was tremendous and advisors expressed their appreciation of the many great ideas and tools that were discussed and that they were keen to implement.
Keven Prather, who was also a speaker and panelist at the Strategies and Tactics for Family Business Planning session, said, “It was an honor to be an invited speaker and share best practice with my peers at the BEI. It’s such a highly regarded conference and brings together the best in the business owner planning marketplace. The sessions I spoke at went down really well and advisors were really appreciative of the messages communicated. I’ve been going to the BEI since 2007 and it’s where I go to get great ideas, stay focused on enhancing my practice, share my expertise and expand my professional network. It’s a fun conference and great to be among such enthusiastic and energized professionals.”
The BEI Exit Planning Conference is the only meeting of its kind and over the course of three days it brings together advisors from across North America, including financial planners, CPAs and attorneys. This year’s event was the largest to date and provided the perfect platform for seasoned professionals to learn from each other and discuss new tools so that ultimately they can help the business owners that they serve achieve their goals.
