Skylight sponsors Equality Ohio

Skylight Financial Group’s LGBT Resource Team is delighted to announce gold sponsorship of Equality Ohio, a non-profit organization that advocates and educates to achieve fair treatment and equal opportunity for all Ohioans regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity or expression.

Founded in 2005 and celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, Equality Ohio was first set up by a group of 65 dedicated LGBT activities and allies after voters passed a constitutional amendment prohibiting same sex marriage and civil unions. Headquartered in Columbus, it now serves over 30,000 members and advocates on key issues affecting the LGBT community and their families such as equal housing, work discrimination, safety and security and marriage equality.

Dan Brennan, chief marketing officer at Skylight said “As a firm that is committed to diversity and inclusion and supporting our friends in the LGBT community, we are delighted to be sponsoring Equality Ohio.  We look forward to working in partnership with them and giving support to help tackle the inequalities facing many in our community in every corner of Ohio.”

Elyzabeth Holford, Executive Director of Equality Ohio had this to say: “Skylight Financial is a steadfast ally of the LGBT community in Cleveland and beyond. They are open and accepting of LGBT clients.  They get the issues and they care deeply about open and accepting communities. I’m proud that Skylight Financial is sponsoring Equality Ohio.”
