Skylight to host “Top of the Crop” at TaDa!
TaDa! Season is upon us once again and Skylight Financial Group is delighted to be hosting “Top of the Crop” social event on Friday June 12 - a summer evening rooftop picnic in our historic United Bank building on Ohio City’s West 25th street, where guests will enjoy spectacular views of the neighborhood and feast on summertime fare prepared by Chef Steve Schimoler from Crop Bistro.
The TaDa! series of events is a critical fundraiser for the LGBT Community Center who, this year, are celebrating 40 years as a social service agency serving the LGBT community. Funding enables the Center to continue their fine work of providing services including their Youth and Young adult programs, free and anonymous HIV testing, Senior programs, counseling support, LGBT cultural competency education to schools and organizations and cultural diversity training for professionals tackling LBGT issues. In 2014, they raised approximately $42,000 through 12 unique TaDa! events which accounted for 12% of all funds raised for the center in the year.
Dan Brennan, chief marketing officer at Skylight, said “As a firm that is committed to diversity and inclusion and supporting our LGBT community, TaDa! is a favorite time of the year for us. So we are delighted to be hosting the “Top of the Crop” event which will offer excellent food from Crop Bistro and amazing views, from our roof top, of our neighborhood, downtown and Lake Erie. As a long-standing friend and sponsor of the LGBT Community Center, we hold its values and mission dear to our hearts and hope that this year’s TaDa! series of events continues to be a huge success.”
