Skylight Toledo Supports Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Cornhole Tournament

8/30/2017

A team from Skylight Financial Group’s Toledo Office recently participated in the 3rd Annual Battle on the Boards Cornhole competition on July 25th at Reset in Perrysburg benefitting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). Mike Buganski, Financial Planner (although unable to attend due to previous commitments) was a key sponsor of the event and has been a supporter of the LLS for three years.

The tournament, which is now in its third year, was created by Tina Bain-Orr, a 32 year old Leukemia survivor, to raise funds and awareness for blood cancers and LLS.  This year’s event was the most successful to date, raising over $7K with 100% of proceeds going directly back to the LLS of North West Ohio.  14 corporate teams, made up of local banks and businesses took part this year with 112 corporate professionals forming 56 pairings to battle it out on the cornhole boards and win the coveted trophy.

Adam Molnar, Financial Planner in Skylight’s Toledo office and cornhole participant, said “We were delighted to put forward a team to support this great cause.  We couldn’t have asked for better weather and, while we might not have fared too well in the tournament, it was a great day where we had a lot of fun in support of this great organization.”
