Maggie Burns, a Twinsburg native and recent graduate from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania joined the Skylight team in the fall of 2016. Maggie brings with her a high-level working knowledge of InDesign and Social Media, tools she uses daily in her current role. She also serves as executive assistant to Mark Owens.
Prior to joining the marketing team, Maggie worked on the social media team at Destination Cleveland, working primarily with the organization in preparation for, and during, the 2016 Republican National Convention. That particular role consisted of completing extensive competitive analysis of social media strategies utilized by various convention and visitor bureaus in and around Ohio. She also developed plans for distribution of marketing collateral to the promote the hashtag #AskCle.
During her time as a student at Slippery Rock University Maggie served in multiple roles including, but not limited to; Panhellenic President at the Center for Student Leadership, secretary and VP of Alpha Omicron Pi International Women’s Fraternity as well as being a field reporter for WSRU-TV News (Slippery Rock University).
A self-confessed foodie and Starbucks addict Maggie is a big fan of all things Cleveland, especially the Cleveland Indians baseball team.
