Skylight is delighted to announce that five of its 2018 summer interns have extended their internship and have in sight a potential career with Skylight once they finish their final year at college.
Rising seniors, Ryan Fessler, Kevin Gilligan, Ryan Singler, Jack Barone, and Jarod Reidel, took part in Skylight’s 11-week summer internship which ran from May to August this year. The internship offered them a unique opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience, learn from some of the best in the industry, and help them start their career path.
Paul Fox, Managing Partner at Skylight, praised this year’s interns, saying “This has been one of our best classes of interns. They hit the ground running and we are very excited that five of them have extended their internship. We are committed to developing them further, helping them make more connections and positioning them for success.”
How did the interns view their experience and the extension of their internship? Here’s what some participants had to say:
Kevin Gilligan, Rising Senior at Ohio State University
“I liked everything about the internship, especially the people at Skylight. I can’t say enough good things or how thankful I am to the people that supported us as interns.
I’m thankful for the accountability managers that inspired us and always had time for a meeting. The support team that was never too busy to show an intern how to do something and worked with us patiently. Finally, the financial planners that took time out of their day just to talk to us and get to know us as individuals.
The people at Skylight are a big reason that I’m excited to extend my internship.”
Ryan Fessler, Rising Senior at Miami University
“During our summer internship, we were doing and learning something every day and got great support and guidance from everyone at Skylight.
I am excited to be extending my internship with Skylight because it will allow me to gain more experience before I begin my career as a financial professional. I look forward to it!”
Jack Barone, Rising Senior at Ohio State University
“The summer internship gave me real world work experience and a valuable insight into the financial planning field. I am very excited to have the opportunity to develop these skills further and benefit from the collaborative approach at Skylight.”
