Meet Tina Ramnytz Skylight’s New Financial Planning Administrator

Skylight

May 4, 2018

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I like being outdoors and am looking forward to all of the spring and summer activities my family enjoys together, such as hiking, camping, fishing, kayaking, and bonfires. I also enjoy reading, music, playing board games, and making all kinds of arts and crafts projects.

What’s your favorite thing about Cleveland?

I enjoy the hustle and bustle of larger cities and having so much going on around me. I also love being so close to the west side market!

What college did you go to and what did you study?

I went to the University of Akron for my bachelors in international business. I received my Juris doctor from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School. I am currently licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Michigan.

What’s your biggest achievement?

My biggest achievement is helping raise my three stepchildren: Ally, Colton, and Zach. Co-parenting has taught me a lot over the years about compromise and tenacity; while I don’t think they ever doubt how much they are loved, they can’t possibly know how proud I am of each of them. They’re really awesome, the vast majority of the time (the rest of the time, well, 2 out of 3 are teenagers!).

Tell us something you know a lot about?

Though I’m not licensed here in Ohio, I know a lot about the law from practicing in Michigan at the Genesee County Prosecutor’s Office and in private practice doing legal contract review work on a variety of cases. I’m also very fascinated by the theories and origins of the law (which can be translated to say that I geek out over the Constitution).

Something you would like to learn more about?

I would like to learn more about estate planning and trusts.

Who do you most admire and why?

I admire my sister, Melissa, because of the way she balances actively raising my niece and nephew with her husband, Scott, while furthering her education and professional goals; all while managing to find time to volunteer and have hobbies and friends.

A little known or fun fact about you

I have two large dogs who are convinced that they’re lapdogs. They help keep me active and make me smile every day.

What are you looking forward to most about working at Skylight?

I am looking forward to being part of a client-focused team who is dedicated to helping people achieve their goals by aligning their finances with their values.

Thanks, Tina!
